Nathan Bush is Associate Director for the Office of Government and Community Relations at the University of New Mexico. His current focus is federal policy on behalf of UNM. Prior to 2020, Nathan worked for 17 years for the American Cancer Society and the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), the nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy affiliate of the American Cancer Society, in various leadership capacities at the state, regional, and national levels, focused on health care and cancer prevention policy. His other previous professional roles included management and leadership assignments providing social services and educational services benefitting disadvantaged populations, in addition to health care. Nathan’s B.A. (Northwestern University) and M.A. (University of New Mexico) are both in linguistics, having also completed Ph.D. coursework requirements at UNM (status currently ABD). Nathan is a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
