Senior Program Associate, Communications and Development

Madison Cooley joined Higher Learning Advocates in September of 2018. She supports the organization’s communications team by assisting in the development of social media strategies, drafting outreach material for external audiences, and designs digital content for social media and websites. Madison also assists in HLA’s development efforts, overseeing current and potential funders. Madison brings to Higher Learning Advocates an enthusiasm for politics and advocacy. She believes that every student can pursue educational opportunity, an interest she first developed through a part-time job at a local Boys & Girls Club.

Prior to joining Higher Learning Advocates, Madison graduated from James Madison University with a B.A. in political science. Originally from Wisconsin, Madison enjoys Packer football season, the mild D.C. winters, running, and reading.
