Madison Cooley joins Higher Learning Advocates as a recent graduate of James Madison University with a B.A. in political science. She supports the organization’s logistics and operations as well as convenings and public events. She brings to the role an enthusiasm for politics and advocacy and a passion for ensuring every student can pursue educational opportunity, an interest she first developed through a part-time job at a local Boys & Girls Club. Her internship experiences at nonprofits and news outlets equip her with knowledge of the legislative process, grasstops advocacy, and communications. Prior to Higher Learning Advocates, Madison interned for the Digital Media department at C-SPAN and on the Federal Policy Team at the Council for a Strong America.
