Higher Learning Advocates’ Statement Regarding the 2020 Elections

WASHINGTON — This morning, Julie Peller, Executive Director of Higher Learning Advocates, made the following statement regarding the 2020 elections:

“As we welcome President-Elect Biden, Vice President-Elect Harris, and the 117th Congress, Higher Learning Advocates is energized by the opportunity for renewed bipartisan work centered on the needs of today’s students. As President-Elect Biden said on Saturday, “there has never been anything we haven’t been able to do when we’ve done it together.”

Especially as the pandemic and economic uncertainty continue, it is critical that our nation’s policies ensure all students can succeed, no matter their path to and through higher learning. By centering today’s students in policymaking, our country’s leaders can usher much needed reform of the nation’s system of higher learning, allowing individual students and our economy to thrive.”
