Higher Learning Advocates’ Statement Regarding Secretary of Education Nominee

WASHINGTON — Higher Learning Advocates congratulates Miguel Cardona, President-elect Biden’s nominee for Secretary of Education in the incoming administration. Executive Director Julie Peller made the following statement regarding the announcement of his nomination:

We are particularly encouraged by Dr. Cardona’s experience with higher education during his time as an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut and his commitment to serving all of our nation’s students. We are excited to continue working with the Department of Education to improve policies that affect today’s postsecondary students under his leadership.”
